The Final Draft Plan is Done!
The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department has completed a plan for the use, management and improvement of our new State Capitol State Park that includes the Capitol Building grounds, Willson and Capitol Parks, and the Capitol Mall.
We have planned for a comprehensive vision, objectives, strategies, site concepts, way-finding and interpretive improvements and management guidelines for the park. A Stakeholder Group and Technical Advisory Group have provided us with essential input for the plan.
We will be taking the draft plan to our Oregon Parks and Recreation Commission at their March, 2011 meeting, to ask for their approval of the plan.
