Construction is under way on a 1.6-mile section of the Historic Columbia River Highway between John Yeon State Park and Moffett Creek. The park remains open (short closures may occur), but expect noise and watch for heavy equipment. During the first phase of work, park visitors leaving the park and planning to travel eastbound on Interstate 84 will be detoured from accessing the freeway at Warrendale (Exit 37) to Exit 35 at the Ainsworth Interchange. The project will be completed by fall 2013. For more information, visit the Oregon Department of Transportation project page.
